About

The Cromwell Veterinary Group is one of an elite group of Practices around the world to celebrate over 100 years of Veterinary care. Once a large animal practice, the Practice has evolved to become exclusively a small animal practice in 1997. Today the original surgery in Huntingdon has expanded to become a 24hr small animal hospital and Cromwell Vets now provides care to pets all over Huntingdonshire with branch surgeries in St Ives, St Neots, Ramsey, Cambourne and Sawtry.

Staff, buildings and surgical techniques have come and gone across the years, but our desire to provide consistently high levels of care for all our patients has endured to this day. Our aim is to always maintain the traditional values on which the practice was first founded by offering a personal service with integrity whilst embracing the new opportunities made possible by science and technology. It is our belief that by continuing to invest in the development of our team and our facilities, we can work with our clients to achieve what is most important – happy healthy pets that are respected and loved as a member of your family.

Our Huntingdon surgery has been in the same location on St John’s Street for over 100 years. The surgery has 2 vet consulting rooms, a nurse consult room and the Buttons Bradley Room. Vet consultations run throughout the day until 8.30pm weekdays and until 12.30pm on Saturdays. Nurse consultations are available weekdays from 9am to 6.30pm and Saturdays from 9am to 12.30pm. The surgery has its own car park opposite the entrance of the surgery. As part of the 2011 extension work at our Huntingdon hospital we built the ‘Buttons Bradley Room’.  This room was named after a dear client, Mrs Bradley and her pet poodle ‘Buttons’ who left us a legacy in her Will. The room is a quiet and peaceful place where clients can spend time visiting their ill pets or spend the last few precious moments saying goodbye.
